Customs clearance road and rail traffic

Customs clearance for road and rail traffic is carried out at inland customs offices or at the national border. Our advance planning and coordination with the shipping company guarantees fast customs clearance. A competent appearance at the customs office and excellent customs declarations reduces the risk of a subsequent customs inspection inside your company.

Customs clearance maritime traffic

In maritime transport, knowledge of the situation in ports is crucial. Container traffic is closely monitored and times for clearances by the ports customs administrations do take longer, inter alia, because of the security risk analysis. Knowing how, we make sure that your container arrives to desired place of destination as quickly as possible from the port and safely cleared through customs.

Customs clearance air traffic

With the fastest means of transport, everything must go quickly even after landing, because waiting times lead to high costs and our business partners want their goods to arrive as quick and safe as possible. Thanks to the excellent communication with our customers and the implemented interfaces to the airport systems, the ground handling agents, and carriers, we are well prepared for this. This is how we manage customs clearance and on-carriage in record time.

Fiscal representation

Fiscal customs clearance in an EU member state with subsequent delivery to another EU member state or vice versa means that the place of customs clearance and the place where import VAT arises are different. This type of customs clearance offers liquidity advantages, e.g. no VAT payment and logistical cost savings. Our customs experts will further advise you on all steps to be taken.

Indirect representation (Importer of Record)

Indirect representation is generally possible if the importer or exporter is based outside the EU customs area. After a thorough risk analysis, we act as declarant under customs law and in this way, we form a customs clearance bridge between you and your customers. If you are a foreign company and want to send DDP goods to a customer in the EU or export them out of the EU, then indirect representation is a good – and maybe the only - option.

Inward processing

In this special customs procedure, your goods remain under customs supervision and can be processed, repaired, or improved by a company without incurring customs duties. In addition, there are no trade policy measures (anti-dumping duties, protective duties, licensing requirements) and the regulations that are linked to the placing on the market of goods (CE marking, registrations, etc.) only apply to a limited extent. We would be happy to advise you and make the necessary applications.

Temporary admission / use

This customs procedure, which is traditionally used for trade fair goods, can also be the right choice in many other situations - mostly when goods are only to be used temporarily in the customs area (artistic or sporting events, exhibitions, test, and trial purposes, etc.). Due to time restrictions (24 months max.), the intention must be to re-export the goods after their temporary use or to import them finally and thus end the process properly.

Customs warehouse

If the goods are not intended to enter the economic cycle immediately, they can remain in temporary storage for up to 90 days after arrival in the EU or be transferred to the customs warehouse procedure without a deadline. Simple treatments such as packing, labeling, and cleaning are also possible in the bonded warehouse. The goods can then be transferred to a new customs procedure, for example the transit procedure for re-export to Switzerland or Great Britain, or you can import the goods finally in the EU.
